Hi Chris

You are coming up for a year with Ihre Consulting, but have been in the industry for almost 10 years. Tell us more about why you have stayed in the business so long and how you balance you home / work life to be as successful as you are.

 

1.    You have been in the industry for many years now. What is it about the industry you love?

I love the fact that not one day is the same. I have dealt with affiliates for nearly 9 years and yet am surprised on daily basis. Building relationships is the best part and seeing successful deals is what it’s all about.

2.    You have worked for both operators and networks.  What attracted you to working with Ihre Consulting? Was it a natural progression from Fremonte? Do you prefer working in this way rather than specifically for one operator?

Well,  being on the operator side restricts you to 1 method of working whilst working for Ihre Consulting allows me to work with various operators, different markets and many more affiliates. The close relationship we have with the operators we represent allows me to get stuck in so to speak and get the best for the affiliates we refer them.

3.    You are very methodical and organised in your work and approach. Do you have any tips for us?

I try to be organised but setting up a dedicated folder for every affiliate works.  Keeping on top of my emails allows me to quickly get back to an affiliate. We have an internal database which is imperative we update so we are on top of things. Making notes on each affiliate is something I do so I can be responsive and organised.

4.    Are you able to describe to us your daily routine? How do you get the work / home life balance?

I start work sharply at 9am and, despite working from home, I work normal business hours. This way I get to divide work from my personal life which I then resume as normal once business hours are over. I go the the gym most mornings so I have fresh outlook on the day – that is something I highly recommend.

5.    Can you tell us more about your job at Ihre and who should be contacting you to do business?

I mainly concentrate on casino affiliate as here lies my area of expertise. I visit all the major players websites on a daily basis and keep up to date with the latest slot game releases. This way I can communicate this to affiliates and offer them a better service. Knowing the product side of the well is imperative to my role when dealing with affiliates. In terms of who should be contacting me, any affiliate who runs a casino related website!
